Japanese professional skateboarder, Yosozumi Sakura won the gold medal in the skateboarding women’s park final at Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The win cemented Japan as a new powerhouse in the Olympic sport of which made its debut at Tokyo 2020.
Hiraki Kokona took silver, just 1.05 points behind teammate Yosozumi, and Sky Brown of Great Britain took the bronze. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Summer Games took place in Japan, from July 23, 2021 to August 8, 2021.
Sakura Yosozumi is a Japanese professional skateboarder. She also won gold medals in the inaugural women’s park events at the Asian Games, in 2018.
